Reminders

Please check your child's homework folder each night. Homework is Monday - Thursday nights and is due back the next day. Please check your child's behavior chart. Students color their behavior chart to according to the following colors:

Green is great!

Yellow is a warning.

Orange - lose 5 minutes of free time.

Purple - lose 10 minutes of free time and do write-offs.

Red - principal's choice

Bulldog folders go home every Wednesday. Please check it. Keep the graded papers and return the folder.

Also, students should not be bringing toys to school. They could get lost, dirty, broken or stolen.

After I graduated from Huntland High School, I received my B.A. in elementary education from University of Alabama in Huntsville. I earned a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through MTSU.

This is my 17th year at Cowan Elementary! I taught first grade for six years and I taught second grade for 9 years. I was also a Title 1 RTI teacher one year. I am looking forward to a great year!

My husband and I have two sons. We enjoy swimming, traveling, eating good food and watching movies in our spare time.
